The program follows international midwifery standards (ICM) and Nepal Nursing Council requirements. Students learn to provide respectful, flexible care, advocate for non-intervention in normal childbirth, and empower women and families in health decision-making. The curriculum integrates community health, maternal-child care, nursing fundamentals, and leadership.

Bachelor in Midwifery Sciences (BMS) is a professional undergraduate health science degree in Nepal for registered PCL nurses with clinical experience, focused on maternal, newborn and reproductive health care. Graduates are trained to provide antenatal, intrapartum, postpartum and community midwifery services within clinical and public health settings.
