About This Exam

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) is the apex body for technical and vocational education in Nepal. CTEVT offers various diploma, certificate, and TSLC (Technical School Leaving Certificate) programs in engineering, health, agriculture, and other technical fields.

**Important Update (2025):** As of May 2025, CTEVT has officially scrapped entrance examinations for all its programs. admissions is now based purely on academic qualifications and merit from SEE (Secondary Education Examination) results.

CTEVT programs are offered through constituent, partnership, and affiliated institutions across all 77 districts of Nepal. The 3-year diploma programs are particularly popular as they provide practical, job-oriented skills. Engineering diplomas (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer) and Health diplomas (Staff Nurse, HA, Lab Technician) are among the most sought-after programs.

For students who cannot pursue bachelor's degree programs immediately, CTEVT provides an excellent pathway to technical careers. Many diploma holders also continue to bachelor's programs with credit transfers.
