Candidates must have completed +2 education in the science stream with Biology as a compulsory subject. The minimum eligibility requirement is either 50% marks in aggregate or a 2.4 CGPA.

The MECEE-BL examination covers Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and General Knowledge/Mental Ability. Given the limited seats in medical colleges and the high demand, competition is extremely fierce.
