CTEVT — Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), established in 1989, is Nepal's apex body governing technical and vocational education and training (TVET). CTEVT operates under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and plays a vital role in producing skilled workforce for Nepal's economy.

CTEVT's Mandate

Programs Offered
CTEVT offers two main levels of technical education:
1. TSLC (Technical School Leaving Certificate): 18-month programs for students who have passed Grade 8 or SEE. Fields include health assistant, lab technician, general medicine, and veterinary sciences.
2. Diploma Programs: 3-year programs for SEE graduates. Available in engineering (civil, electrical, computer, mechanical), pharmacy, agriculture, forestry, and more.
