Six-month CTEVT-affiliated, competency-based training producing entry-level psychosocial counselors for community, clinical, and institutional settings through structured modules and mandatory on-the-job training.
The Psychosocial Counselor program is a short-term vocational qualification designed to develop applied counseling competence rather than academic theory. Training is task-oriented and aligned with real service settings such as counseling centers, hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, orphanages, elderly homes, NGOs, and private care facilities.
The curriculum is organized into four functional modules—Psychosocial Intervention, Case Management, Counseling Skill and Process, and Capacity Building—followed by 160 hours of supervised On-the-Job Training. Instruction integrates demonstrations, guided practice, documentation, supervision exposure, referral systems, and alternative counseling tools. Graduates are prepared for wage employment or self-employment in Nepal and abroad.
