
Saraswati Multiple Campus (SMC), located at Lekhnathmarg, Thamel, Kathmandu, is one of the oldest and most prestigious constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University (TU). Established in 1963 AD (2016 BS) by educational visionaries including Mr. Shankar Raj Pathak, Mr. Vednath Regmi, Mr. Shahsi Narayan Shaha, and Dr. Surendra Shrestha, SMC has a rich history of over 50 years in providing quality higher education. Initially offering night classes in Humanities, the campus now offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including BA, BBS, BBM, BBA, BCA, BHM, B.Ed, BASW, BSW, MA in English, Sociology, Nepali, Economics, MBM, and MBS. SMC is renowned for its blend of traditional and modern teaching methodologies, supported by well-equipped computer labs, a rich library, and interactive classrooms. With experienced faculty, extensive research opportunities, and a holistic approach to education, the campus fosters intellectual growth, critical thinking, and practical skills. We are constantly devoting towards providing affordable high quality teaching and learning facilities.
It gives me an immense pleasure to share that our professors, faculties and administration have great capability of providing outstanding academic and extra-curricular activities, and at the same time with applied and professional trainings. For acquisition of these standards, we build sound academic environment where students can identify and show their potentials/talents without any obstacles.
We provide our students opportunity to conduct research and internship opportunities to benefit wider communities and facilitate the approach of active learning, on which we always trust in. Moreover, we are also constantly working to improve our technological infrastructure and other physical facilities. We have adopted modern teaching learning approach and constantly upgrading to replace ineffective conventional pedagogical systems.
