Community Livestock Assistant (CLA) is a 3-month (390 hours) CTEVT-affiliated short-term technical training that prepares entry-level livestock service workers for community-based animal production, health support, and livestock enterprise activities.
The Community Livestock Assistant program develops practical, performance-oriented skills in livestock management, basic animal health services, livestock products handling, and rural entrepreneurship. The curriculum is competency-based, allocating 80% of training time to hands-on practice and 20% to technical theory. Graduates are capable of delivering basic livestock services at the community level, supporting farmers, cooperatives, and small enterprises in areas such as herd management, nutrition, disease prevention, first aid, and product marketing. The program targets rapid workforce entry for wage employment or self-employment in the livestock sector.
