Three-year CTEVT diploma developing mid-level animal science technicians with expertise in livestock management, veterinary assistance, and agribusiness.
The Diploma in Agriculture (Animal Science) is a three-year program aimed at producing skilled mid-level human resources in animal husbandry and veterinary support. The first year covers basic sciences, mathematics, and languages to prepare for advanced study. The second year introduces common agriculture courses alongside specialized animal science topics, including animal nutrition, housing, health, and small livestock production. The third year focuses entirely on animal husbandry and veterinary sciences, including dairy and poultry production, veterinary clinical practices, laboratory techniques, and a Work Experience Program (WEP). The program combines theoretical knowledge, practical training, and field experience to prepare graduates for employment or further studies in agriculture and veterinary science.
Agriculture courses focus on scientific and practical methods of farming, crop production, livestock management, soil conservation, and agribusiness. These programs combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on field training to prepare students for modern, sustainable, and profitable agriculture.
