Diploma in Library and Information Management (DLIM) is a one‑year professional distance education program at Nepal Open University (NOU) that trains students to manage library operations and information resources.
Description
Program purpose
Designed to produce skilled human resources capable of understanding library systems, managing libraries of various sizes, applying modern information management techniques and technologies, and using library resources effectively.
Delivery mode: blended distance learning with web‑based LMS (Teams, Moodle), virtual weekly classes, extra‑classroom assignments, plus periodic face‑to‑face orientation and exams.
Assessment: combination of internal (40%) and external (60%) evaluation including e‑portfolio, participation, presentations, take‑away exam, interview and process evaluation.
Management courses prepare students to plan, organize, lead, and control business and organizational activities. These programs develop leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, helping students manage people, resources, and operations effectively in different industries.

The Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) is conducted by TU Faculty of Management for admission to BBA, BIM, BHM, BBM, BTTM, and other management programs at TU constituent and affiliated colleges.
Kathmandu University
Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) offers BBA and other management programs with international standards. Admission is through KUCAT entrance examination.
Pokhara University
Pokhara University Faculty of Management offers BBA, BHM, BCIS and other programs through its constituent college and affiliated colleges.
University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal
University Grants Commission provides scholarships to increase access to higher education for students with disabilities, economically disadvantaged students, Dalit students, children of martyrs and conflict victims, Mukta Kamlari, and Muslim women students.
