Description
MA in Buddhist Studies is a four-semester academic program focused on the origin, development, and transmission of Buddhism, particularly in Nepal and Asia. The program covers historical evolution, Buddhist sects, Mahāyāna and Vajrayāna traditions, Buddhist literature in Pāli and Sanskrit, art, architecture, manuscripts, and contemporary Buddhist practice. Emphasis is placed on research, fieldwork, and thesis writing, preparing graduates for scholarly, cultural, and applied roles in Buddhist studies.
