Welcome to the Central Department of Public Health. This is the only Central Department under the Institute of Medicine that was established in Bhadra 2075. The Department, based in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, hosts about 225 students at any point of time at bachelors, masters and doctoral level education in public health, health promotion and education, and public health nutrition. Our alumni members are more than 1,500 around the world and are engaged in various professional settings such as government offices, civil society, academics, international organizations and private corporations.
