About Kathmandu Engineering College
Kathmandu Engineering College (KEC), established in 1998 and located in Kalimati, Kathmandu, is a premier engineering institution affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU) and the first ISO 9001:2008 certified college in Nepal. KEC offers undergraduate programs in Architecture, Civil, Computer, Electrical, and Electronics & Communication Engineering, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application and research. The college emphasizes discipline, student growth, and an understanding learning environment, supported by experienced faculty and a dedicated administrative team. Spread over 30 Ropanis of land, the campus includes well-equipped labs, a library, multipurpose halls, and ample facilities for student amenities and transportation. KEC focuses on holistic education, fostering skills, critical thinking, and industry connections, while requiring candidates to pass a TU +2 equivalent and a screening test conducted by the Institute of Engineering (IOE).
