About Namuna College of Fashion Technology
Namuna College of Fashion Technology (NCFT), established in 2002 by renowned fashion designer Mrs. Gyani Shova Tuladhar, is Nepal’s first dedicated fashion college and a pioneer in academic fashion education. Located in Basbari, Kathmandu, NCFT introduced the country’s first Bachelor of Fashion Design program and later expanded to the four-year Bachelor of Fashion Design and Management (BFDM) in partnership with Purbanchal University. Building on a legacy that began with “Namuna Silai” and the Namuna Institute of Technology, the college combines a dynamic curriculum with creative teaching methodologies to provide both national and international standards of fashion education. Over the years, NCFT has produced skilled graduates who are excelling in the fashion industry, making it one of the most sought-after institutions for aspiring fashion professionals in Nepal.

Warm greetings on behalf of Namuna College of Fashion Technology (NCFT), Nepal’s first ever Fashion College and the pioneer of Bachelors education in Fashion in the country.
We are pleased to inform you that it has been more than 40 years that “Namuna” made its debut in the Nepali fashion industry. “Namuna” as a brand is strongly perceived as one of the most prominent contributors to the upliftment of fashion in Nepal, and with Namuna College of Fashion Technology (NCFT) an integral part of its brand identity, it will continue to do so in the future as well.
Besides offering a truly unique career-oriented and practical educational experience, NCFT is renowned for its exceptional track record of transforming its students into high-value career professionals and entrepreneurs with both local and global understanding of fashion.
We also take pride in our numerous beyond-the-classroom initiatives that accentuate the overall personal development of our students and inculcate in them greater confidence, creativity and innovation that helps them stand out and make substantial contributions to the field of fashion.
It’s also heartening to see that the achievements and success of the college and its alumni has led to widespread acceptance of fashion education in Nepal.
