

Tri Chandra Campus, established in 1883 during the Rana era, is Nepal’s first higher education institution. Located in Ghantaghar, Kathmandu, it marked the beginning of modern academic development in the country. Initially created for the Rana elite, it later opened to the public and became a major contributor to Nepal’s social, political, and intellectual transformation.
