Community Agriculture Assistant (CAA) is a 3-month (390 hours) CTEVT short-term technical training that prepares entry-level agriculture workers for community-based crop and allied agriculture services.
The Community Agriculture Assistant program develops competency-based practical skills in agriculture production and management. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on performance (80%) over theory (20%), enabling trainees to deliver basic agriculture services at the community level. Graduates are capable of managing nurseries, fertilizers, and pesticides; producing crops and seeds; operating small-scale allied enterprises; and linking production with markets. The program targets rapid workforce entry for wage employment and self-employment in agriculture and agri-enterprise.
Agriculture courses focus on scientific and practical methods of farming, crop production, livestock management, soil conservation, and agribusiness. These programs combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on field training to prepare students for modern, sustainable, and profitable agriculture.
