Program provides intensive clinical exposure in respiratory medicine, critical care, interventional pulmonology, and systemic disease interactions. Training is governed by MEC entrance exam standards and conducted across KU-affiliated institutions. Emphasis on evidence-based respiratory care, advanced diagnostics, procedures, and multidisciplinary integration.

DM Pulmonology is a three‑year super‑specialty program after MD Internal Medicine, focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory and critical care disorders. The program prepares graduates for independent clinical practice, research, and academic roles in pulmonology and critical care medicine.
Description
The program provides comprehensive training in respiratory medicine, critical care, sleep medicine, and interventional pulmonology. Trainees gain experience in managing acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, participating in academic activities, and completing a research project or thesis. Graduates are qualified to work in tertiary hospitals, pulmonary centers, intensive care units, and academic institutions.
