The Medical Education Common Entrance Examination - Bachelor Level (MECEE-BL) is conducted by the Medical Education Commission (MEC) for admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BPH, B.Pharm and other health science programs across Nepal. This is the mandatory entrance exam for all medical programs.

BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences conducts its own entrance examination for MBBS, BDS, and other health programs at the Dharan campus. BPKIHS is a deemed university with government medical college standards.
Kathmandu University
Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS) offers MBBS program at Dhulikhel Hospital with excellent clinical exposure. Admission is through KUCAT medical entrance.
