Three-year, full-time residency program under Tribhuvan University designed to produce specialists in obstetrics, gynaecology, and family planning, with the core aim of reducing maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality through advanced clinical, surgical, academic, and public-health competencies.
Program integrates obstetric and gynaecological clinical care, reproductive health, prenatal and postnatal management, emergency obstetrics, operative gynaecology, fetal–maternal medicine, infertility evaluation, oncology screening, family planning, epidemiology, and women’s health services. Training follows a rigorous hospital-based residency model with rotations, supervised procedures, ward management, labour-room duties, outpatient care, surgical exposure, and academic activities.
