A six-month foundational course by ICAN designed to provide basic knowledge and skills in accounting, economics, management, and commercial mathematics for entry into professional Chartered Accountancy.

CAP-I (Foundation Course) under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) equips students with the essential understanding required for professional accounting. The curriculum covers fundamentals of accounting, mercantile laws, economics, management principles, and commercial mathematics and statistics. The course serves as the entry-level standard for students aiming to pursue higher CA levels and ensures readiness for CAP-II and subsequent professional examinations. The program includes study materials, pre-test exams, newsletters, and journals to support comprehensive learning.

Admission Process:

• Completion of 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 2.40 CGPA
• Graduates/postgraduates ineligible for direct CAP-II registration can enroll
• Provisional registration allowed for awaiting results, confirmation required within 6 months
• Submission of academic transcripts, character certificate, citizenship/passport, and fee receipt
