MD Pathology

A three-year postgraduate medical residency focused on laboratory-based diagnosis of disease through systematic analysis of tissues, fluids, and organs.

MD Pathology at PAHS is a structured postgraduate program designed to produce competent diagnostic pathologists with strong foundations in laboratory medicine, disease mechanisms, and research. The program trains residents in histopathology, hematology, cytopathology, clinical pathology, and related subspecialties. Emphasis is placed on analytical accuracy, laboratory quality control, ethical practice, and evidence-based diagnostics, supported by mandatory research work.

Eligibility

• MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by Nepal Medical Council
• Completion of one-year internship at a recognized institution
• Eligibility to appear in MECEE-PG as per Medical Education Commission rules

• Total Program Fee: NPR 2,381,760
• Tuition fee waived for selected candidates under PAHS service obligation policy
• Additional institutional fees applicable as per PAHS regulations
