Summary

Two-year, four-semester professional master’s program producing engineering geologists skilled in geological investigation, geotechnical assessment, hazard analysis, and engineering-oriented geological problem solving.

The program integrates advanced geology, engineering science, mapping, field investigation, laboratory techniques, and analytical methods used in major infrastructure projects. Emphasis on Himalayan geology, geotechnical principles, slope stability, tunneling geology, hydropower site evaluation, environmental geology, and hazard mitigation. Strong fieldwork, lab practice, and dissertation components develop both applied and research capability.
