Summary

Two-year engineering master’s program focused on geotechnical, geological, and construction principles for design, excavation, support, monitoring, and safety of tunnels and rock-engineering structures.
Curriculum centers on Himalayan geological conditions, rock-mass behavior, tunneling methods, underground construction technology, geotechnical investigation, instrumentation, hazards, groundwater interaction, and numerical modeling. Program prepares engineers for hydropower tunnels, road tunnels, underground caverns, slope stabilization, and major rock-engineering projects. Training emphasizes field investigation, laboratory testing, applied design, and case-study analysis.
