Scholarships in Nepal

University Grants Commission provides scholarships to increase access to higher education for students with disabilities, economically disadvantaged students, Dalit students, children of martyrs and conflict victims, Mukta Kamlari, and Muslim women students.

Ministry of Education, Science and Technology provides scholarships for Nepali students to study abroad through bilateral agreements with countries like China, India, Bangladesh, Russia, Pakistan, Japan, and others.

Constitutional provision for 45% reserved scholarships across all higher education institutions. Quotas are allocated for women, Janajati, Madhesi, Dalit, disabled, Muslim, and remote area students as per Nepal's inclusive education policy.

Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University provides merit-based scholarships to top performers in the entrance examination. Up to 25% of regular students can receive merit scholarships at constituent campuses.

Kathmandu University offers scholarships for meritorious and economically weak students. For every 24 fee-paying students, one student is admitted on full or partial scholarship.

Nepal Government scholarship for B.E. in Geomatics Engineering at Kathmandu University. Covers 33% of total fees for 21 candidates (3 from each province).

Pokhara University offers 1,328 scholarship seats at bachelor level across Science & Technology (501 seats), Management (788 seats), and Humanities (39 seats). Programs include BE, BBA, BCA, BHM, BIT, BCIS, and more.

Pokhara University offers 116 scholarship seats for Master's programs: MBA (80), MBA Finance (9), MBA Global Business (3), MCIS, and MHCM. 60% open category, 40% reserved for marginalized groups.

The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS) offers fully funded Master's degrees in Japan exclusively for Nepal Government civil servants. Up to 20 scholars selected annually.

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers merit-based full scholarships for Nepali students to pursue Master's degrees in Germany. Multiple scholarship programs available.

UK Government's global scholarship programme funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Offers fully funded one-year Master's degrees at any UK university.

Islington College offers multiple scholarships including the LMU UK Programme (Rs. 1.5 Crore), AAA Scholarship (10% of students), and 100% Master's scholarships. Partnership with London Metropolitan University.

Softwarica College offers post-enrollment merit-based scholarships ranging from 25% to 100% on semester tuition fees based on previous semester academic performance. Affiliated with Coventry University, UK.

Herald College awards the prestigious AAA Scholarship to top 10% of students excelling in Academics, Attendance, and Attitude. Partnership with University of Wolverhampton, UK.

Nepal Youth Foundation supports underprivileged students with scholarships for education from primary to higher levels, focusing on marginalized communities.
